TRADITION!!!!

It is tradition that for a celebration like the 20th anniversary of the Diocese of Wiawso that a cloth would be designed. It is also tradition that the anglicans of thisn diocese would purchase this said cloth and make imto clothes to wear on the day of  celeration. In following that trasition I have bought 6 yards of cloth to make an outfit in readiness to celebrate.

adventure to be had

Luggage stilll enjoying the adventure as  it is not arrived as of yet.

I am not surprised it is lost and perhaps you will not be either when you read about my flights.

My itinery was leaving Toronto at 530 pm on Tuesday Nov. 18 to Amsterdam on KLM with a 7 hour lay over, leaving Amsterdam at 1354 on Wednesday Nov. 19 to Accra on KLM arriving Accra at 2005.

The reality was a little different.

Toronto to Amsterdam went as scheduled. I went into the KLM lounge for the lay over. I met someone whose name was Betty, she was born on a Friday like I was and lives in Hamilton as I do. We both waited in the lounge, my name was called and since we were both going to Accra,I thought her name would be called next. It was not.   I travel 'needs assistance' which means I am moved in a wheel chair from place to place in the airport. I get to the next gate and the plane is designed going to Paris. I ask at the desk why I am at that place and I am told my flight to Accra was cancelled. WHAT !!!!!!!

I am now booked on a flight to Paris, then on to Casa Blanca then on to Accra. If this is not what I want, it will be two day to wait for a direct flight to Accra. ???????? What the H... is going on? I had originally bought an upgrade ticket to Economy Plus. but to Paris I was in Economy with a window seat. (my brace on my right leg was next to the window)

The lay over in Paris was a couple of hours.

My flight from Paris to Casa Blanca on Royal Air Moroc was over 3 hours and my seat was changed to an Economy aisle.

The lay over in Casa Blanca was 4.5 hours. Bathrooms at the far end of the terminal. No one to push the wheelchair and too far to walk.

The flight from Casa Blanca to Accra on Royal Air Moroc on Thursday Nov. 20 at 505 am was less that 4 hours.  I would not recommend this air lline.

I get through Immigration and wait for my bags, and wait for my bags and wait for my bags. They did not arrive. Three hours waiting then to fill out form requesting the bags.

Then the trip to Wiawso, 5 hours by bus to Kumasi and 3 hours from Kumasi to Wiawso by car arriving to my house 10 pm on Nov.20.

A little weary to say the least, eat some rice and fall into bed.

again I say, I am fine, bags still lost or travelling.  Church tomorrow and back into the groove.

All is well that ends well.
